Name: Arthur Kirkland
Country of Origin: England
Age: Twenty-seven
Affiliation: Law Enforcement
Expertise: Police officer, Captain
Personality: Arthur is quick-tempered and uncompromising, not afraid to tactfully use his words to bring down other people in which he finds irritable. Not only this, but he has a foul mouth in which vulgar words easily slip out when he's crossed, often demoralizing. Arthur prefers to stay away from large groups of people, normally enjoying seclusion and silence above all else. Despite his testiness, there are many more sides to the British police officer than meets the eyes. Arthur avidly believes in sophistication and likes to consider himself as a 'proper gentleman'. While most of the time he is able to act proper in speech, posture, actions, and so much more, he is just a punk deep inside who enjoys the thrill of being dominant over others. On the outside, he is considered as a cynical realist though along with the punk that is within him, he is quite the romanticist before he falls asleep. It is known that he has a tendency to drink large amounts of alcohol whenever he wants to 'wash' his worries away, but this only brings him to a state of melancholia and irrationality.
As for his personality in work, Arthur is cool and calculating. When things do not go his way, then the British officer will go through far extents in order to make sure it sways in his direction. If there is anything that he absolutely detests, it is the idea of any of his missions being ruined by other officers. While he generally keeps his temper in check, this constraint may not always last for as long as he hopes for. When this happens, Arthur's tendencies to release stress and anger are violent and irrational.
Appearance: Arthur Kirkland stands at about the decent height of 5'7" despite his older age. His sandy-blonde hair is short and choppy, reaching down to approximately the nape of his neck and his eyes are a narrowed emerald. While on the smaller side, Arthur still holds unexpected strength within his slight muscles. The most notable features of the British male overall are his prominent and thick eyebrows that many people consider as "fighting a war against his face and winning". This is normally the main vocal point of teasing though he normally snaps back that there is nothing wrong with his eyebrows.
As a 'gentleman', Arthur takes pleasure in wearing more form fitting clothes that are conservative and proper. This normally consists of a white button up shirt with a sweater vest, normally brown or green, over the shirt and formal pants underneath. In his job, Arthur tends to wear the required police uniform and will even sometimes wear this at home as well.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths
Arthur is good with his manners of speech and keeping his temper in check. This easily helps him throughout harsh situations which requires his cool demeanor to maneuver through the obstacles in his way in which would normally prove to be too difficult for a person with rushed tendencies. Another one of his strengths is his intelligence. If Arthur was to pride in any of his attributes, it would be his intelligence and education. His knowledge spans far into many subjects, which makes him a vital asset when it comes to solving cases.
Weaknesses
Despite his strengths, Arthur Kirkland certainly have many weaknesses that go alongside with these positive attributes. Some of these weaknesses include his intolerance to idiocy, whether it is from a certain situation, case, or especially a specific person as well as tendency to get wasted with alcohol. While generally appearing to be a man of refined tastes, Arthur has a horrible habit of going to a bar when out of duty and consuming too much alcohol in comparison to his light weight. While he is drunk, Arthur is irrational, out of the line, and practically useless to law enforcement as he spends time mourning over things in his past and current events.

History: Arthur Kirkland was born in the well renown London city in the British Isles, also known at the United Kingdom. Arthur is the fourth youngest out of five siblings though his maturity far exceeds his siblings. At least in his own honest opinion. His family relations were never the best though, from the tension between his parents and himself when it came to his future occupation all the way to his disagreement with his whole family. When Arthur was younger, he was rebellious and never took the time to listen to other people’s opinions. In his earlier years, his peers would consistently bully him whether it was from childish taunts all the way to mean pranks. After a few years of holding in his anger and frustrations from the constant bullying, Arthur concluded that he would turn the tables and thus came his rebellious stage.
During this time, Arthur made sure that he would not allow any of his weaknesses to show and have indifference remain as his constant exterior. Whiles his acts were never too harsh, the British boy took an almost sadistic glee, much too mischievous for a boy in his early teens, in seeing the pain of others. This rebellious stage in Arthur’s life lasted for many lingering years and his interests shifted from pretending to be a pirate out in the playground all the way to enjoying punk music in his later teens. Despite all of this though, Arthur still remained as a highly revered student when it came to his grades, almost always managing to ace tests and homework assignments.
As time passed though, Arthur finally settled down to the state that he is in now. Rather than being loose than he used to be in his younger years, many years of experiences had taught him maturity and responsibility. Rather than following his father’s ideals on becoming a doctor or lawyer, Arthur found his interests lying in crime scene investigation. It was uncertain as to why he chose this field as his main interest, but it is assumed that it was from the numerous Sherlock Holmes novels that he read when he was younger.
After graduating from his high school as one of the top students in his class, which was not a difficult task at all for Arthur. While his family was relatively wealthier than many other families, the Briton managed to more easily get into college through the scholarships that he earned throughout high school. Arthur soon attended the University of Cambridge, a prestigious school in London where he managed to get top quality education. From then on forth, Arthur enrolled himself in the London police force.
Being a wonderful asset to the police force, it was not difficult for Arthur to rise from the lowly rank of Constable all the way to Chief Inspector in just a few years. It was only recently in which he was transferred to the American police force in response to the increase of criminal activities. While displeased with this transference, Arthur still accepted the role if only for the sake of politeness and appearing to be sophisticated. At the age of twenty-five, Arthur moved to America to be a part of their police force. It is obvious to say that he detests the very thought of being forced in such a situation, but he still manages to make due.
Sample/Character Introduction:
If there was anything that Arthur Kirkland detested more than anything, it was the thought of waking up in America. The mere word of the country left a bitter taste in his tongue and unpleasant thoughts lingering in his cynical mind. What a pathetic excuse for a country and how he desired for the comforts of London again, back where the wafting scent of tea lingered in the air tastefully. Brushing his sandy blonde locks away from his narrowed emerald eyes, Arthur silently walked into the police station. The Briton was used to the sight of working, on task officers who actually seemed to care about the safety of the city that they lived in. His expectations remained much too high for his own personal well being though. How could he honestly forget about the disorganization of these Yanks with their coffee stained white dress shirts and chattering of personal life?
It was a wonder why America had such a high crime rate. That was another distasteful thing that Arthur hated, possibly even more than Americans. It was the idea of misdeeds swirling within the dark side of the city, amongst the alleys and empty buildings. Stepping through the narrow walkway between desks and scattered people, Arthur had firmly refused a cup of coffee that was offered to him as he immediately walked towards his desk.
How much he detested that drink, that pathetic excuse of a drink it was. Furrowing his thick eyebrows, Arthur took a seat in his chair as he stared at the papers with a scrutinizing stare. It was much too early in the morning to deal with such annoyances such as logical thinking and irritating actions from his fellow workers. It was a wonder how these wankers even moved anywhere in society or life. Tapping his finger softly against the wooden desk in front of him, Arthur pursed his lips as he continued to think and calculate.
The minds of criminals, one of the most confusing of them all as well as ingenious. A small smirk pulled at the corner of his lips.
They also proved to be the most fun in this game of cat and mouse. Arthur sometimes wondered if they were never truly the predators of this game, but rather the victims.
