Name: Sesel Glacis
Country of Origin: Seychelles
Age:20
Affiliation: deals with everyone, including law enforcement on occasion.
Expertise:Sesel works part-time at both the Black Rose Coffee Shop and The ancient Dragon Bookstore. Her more interesting career is dealing in information – she can tell you just about anything about anyone. For a price, of course.
Personality:
Cheerful– Sesel rarely lets anything really get her down. She always tries to look on the Brightside, because just about anything is better home. Her cheer is infectious, and rarely ever forced, which help make her good at her day jobs. Of course, people have a tendency to underestimate her intelligence because of this, but that never hurt anything.
Extrovert- She loves people; she’s always the first one the greet customers as they enter, and always chats up her clients. She makes them comfortable, always showing what appears to be an altruistic interest in their lives. It’s not quite as altruistic as it seems, though.
Cunning- Realizing from a young age that people trusted her, Sesel took advantage of this. She’s learned to manipulate people’s trust and use it to her advantage. Nothing is seen as a disadvantage to this girl – from underestimations of her intelligence to cute looks, she uses it all to her benefit.
Two-faced- Very few people are as successful at being misleading as Sesel is- Because wouldn’t you pause before talking freely to a girl who sells information? But would you think twice about trusting the airheaded cashier at your favorite bookstore, or the bubbly waitress at the coffeehouse? For Sesel, lying isn’t just a necessity- it’s become an sex.
Charming- Now maybe her cheerful persona removes suspicion, but it’s her general charm that convinces people to talk. A smile here, a sympathetic nod there, and suddenly this girl you just met five minutes ago genuinely cares about you and your problems. Sesel can have most people spilling their life secrets in minutes when she puts her mind to it; of course, those are rarely the people she’s interested in. It’s the ones who keep quiet that have the more…interesting stories.
Appearance:
Sesel is built small, being just under 5’4” and weighing 105lbs. She’s delicate looking, with little in the way of muscle. Generally, she wears her brown hair back out of her face in two pigtails. She has small curves, which make her look more adorable than effeminate, particularly when combined with her natural predisposition towards being tan. She generally prefers dresses, or at the very least skirts, when it comes to clothing.

History:
(Note: Seychelles was a British colony until 1976.)
Sesel grew up in Victoria, on the island of Mahé, the oldest of second oldest of four children. Her father worked for a small tuna fishing company, while her mother struggled to work as both a hotel receptionist and a laundress while raising Sesel and her three siblings. At the beginning of WWI, the fishing business where her father worked went under, and he lost his job. The entire colony’s economy was in a depression, and he was unable to find work. Meanwhile, her mother was afraid of losing one or both of her jobs, meaning she worked longer and longer hours, spending less time with her family.
When Sesel was five, her mother was shot coming home late one night. Her entire family had just lost its one source of income. There was less and less food on the table each day, until sometimes there wasn’t any at all. Her father, and also her older brother, continued to search for work. Her brother finally found a job as a delivery boy, bringing in a meager flow of cash. This meant that by age twelve Sesel was in charge of the household’s funds and taking care of her two younger siblings. On top of that, she began to pick up the odd job, often working for tourists because of her ability to speak English.
When she was fifteen, the family had saved enough money to send Sesel to the United States, where they hoped she would be able to find work and send money home. Upon arrival, she was detained for a month as an unclaimed child, until she managed to bribe an immigration officer into letting her through. She had arrived in the United States broke and with nowhere to go. Eventually, she found work, but is currently unable to reach her family back in Seychelles, and has given up on ever being able to do so.
Sample/Character Introduction:
Sesel wiped down the tables, humming quietly to herself. The coffeehouse had already closed, and she was just cleaning up. Once the table was polished, she placed the chairs on top of it, and moved on to the next. She was, for the first time that day, alone and she enjoyed the silence.
All the other employees had gone home for the night, so she looked up in surprise when she heard the door open. Two big guys in suits walked in, and she rolled her eyes.
“The coffeehouse is closed.” She told them, hand on her hip as she paused from wiping down another table. The one on the left looked her up and down.
“We’re not here for coffee.” He ground out slowly.
“In that case, you’re early. She huffed, decided they were just a pair of goons, and turned her attention back to cleaning.
“A hundred for dirt on Wang Yao.” He stated. She barked out a laugh.
“Oh honey, He’s the head of the Asian Mafia. Stuff on him doesn’t come cheap, sorry. And anyway, I’m not selling, now.” She looked up at the clock.
“In fact, I’m not selling at all tonight.”
“the Boss wants information.” The goon stated. “You don’t want to make the Boss angry.”
That was it. She slapped down her rag on the table and strode toward him.
“Yeah? Well I just spent the entire day in a pair of heels. I can’t feel my feet, I’m tired, and I’ve still got to finish closing up this place.” She wasn’t quite screeching, but she was damn near close. “ So I’m. Not. Selling. Capiche?”
The one on the right finally spoke.
“Three hundred for any dirt you got on Yao.”
“Four hundred.” She bartered.
“three fifty, final offer.” She paused, cocking her head to the side.
“Deal.” She boosted herself up onto one of the tables, smiling.
“So What would you like to know?”
